to juxtapose and ' conflict ' the warmer lit pink and purple Hanoi Hannah room that I plan to have within my exhibition for the illustration adobe aero experience, I have chosen by inspiration of previous works that I have research into, chosen to use a rainbow colour palette to present my other visuals.
As I want my visuals to be confusing and visually quite overhweling a rainbow colour palette seemed perfect. When following colour theory each colour provokes a particular emotion, so to combine all these togher your emotions will be conflicted and scattered : similar to how the soldiers felt and how victims of manipulation also feel.
I experimented with black and white, but it felt not as engaging and as visually busy and confusing
I experimented with darker rainbow colours but preferred the lighter as it felt a little more faded / tainted / confused like a thought would be for a soldier in the vietnam war, whilst having the manipulation of Hanoi Hannahs internal conflict to add also
I made the piece below piecing the moving visuals I had already to get
a feel for what my visual style could look like, and paired with initial audio
experiments. I love the disjointed confused videography, and the collaged overlap
aids to my intended emotional response.
I attempted some typography experiments using the smear tool
in photomosh. I love the handwriting style, feels more personable,
like if the one of the soldier wrote the type.
need to update - want the projected visuals on ceilings as well as walls
- the room above will be lit purple and pink none of the other moving imagery on walls ( Hanoi Hannah room )
