I wanted to create exhibiton posters to promote the event. From doing my research into my target audience and gallery spaces, I believe my installation will be best suited in Tate modern/ Saatchi gallery. Due to the heavier topics discussed but also the newer technologies and design techniques ive utilised.
I wanted to use a technique I developed for my last unit x using a combination of adobe xd, then explode plug in, in Rotato a mockup software. This gives an illusion of a projection, or three dimensional layered poster. I can then screenshot these for promotional posters and then use the videos for moving image promotion.
I didnt want to give to much away
in the visuals of the promotion as a lot of exhibitons and installations like to attract audiences but leave the experience to their imagination so its worth them paying for.
- the iPad is a good signifier of the augmented reality element
- the colours represent the colour palette but leaves a lot still to be discovered
for example : some promotion for Saatchi and Tate exhibitions
I attempted initially before the finals above to create a promotional video for the exhibition using the symbols from the blender typography I created. To collage these up to create an almost stop motion animation
however I don't like the final product as it feels too clunky and unprofessional. I don't think it sells the experience at all. It was a fun experiment but I shall not be placing this into my portfolio.
Future me :
I decided these seemed a bit random and didn't sell my exhibition at all. I liked the concept of the projection/ AI inspired layered effect but it felt like a app design. Therefore I later develop these posters.
