An exploration into the conflict of thought, feeling and emotions that the soldiers felt towards her. Many became obessed listening to her daily, some starting to have romantic feelings towards her stating “ i’m surpised she didn’t make it to Hollywood “.  Providing feeling of comfort and feminity that was a stark contrast to the distress and trauma of fighting the war.
